It has been a very dark off-season for the world of hockey with the loss of so many talented young lives.
However, it must be remembered that these were not just members of the hockey but people….someone’s father, son, brother… they must be mourned as such…
It so saddening and heartbreaking I can’t comprehend what the people close to those lost are going through but I have them in my prayers and thoughts.
Its just devastating, not really sinking in properly…
Makes you realise you should appreciate life, its too short
This has made me think, people are dying all over the world, not a happy thought but its true, its a fact of life …how many people are saddened by the news of todays tragic deaths because of the loss of life and how many because it was a hockey team, if you didn’t know them as the stars they were would you mourn them in the same manner? Just something to think about…
That aside… Hockey nation is a family and today we lost some of our family and we mourn their loss as a family. May they rest in peace.
RIP Derek Boogaard, Rick Rypien, Wade Belak and all the people that tragically lost their lives in the Lokomotiv plane crash. Thoughts and prayers to the family and friends
