Jumpstyle Blogging....2am ramblings and the muddleness that is my brain // Welcome to the crazy journey that is my life

15:11 to the land of rain…

Currently sat on a train, this is the 3rd time I have taken a train going between Reading and Manchester and for the 3rd time I am in coach D. The seat reservations keep putting me in this coach, well granted the 2nd time I was on this train, going back to Manchester from Reading, I purposely chose to sit in coach D. I like pattern and consistency (most of the time).

I realise when I post this I shall be no longer on the train and in fact shall most likely be sat in my bedroom back at my parent’s house. I am going home for the 1st time since moving to Reading, my housemate is out of the country till Sunday so I figured instead of being bored at home on my own, I’d pop back up north for a visit.

Slightly regretting the decision I made to not pick up some more pepsi Max at the train station, starting to flag, having been up since 1am after having only a couple of hours of sleep. Not the best situation, not at all but I tried so hard to get more shut eye and it just wasn’t happening. I am hoping that due to the huge blanket of tiredness that is settling on me right now that I shall be able to sleep like a baby tonight (at a normal time of day/night instead of around 6-7am)

I figure this may fix my demented sleep pattern but it is a tough wall to break through, resisting the sleep till at least 9pm. I have been in this situation many a time, it never gets easier but you do get used to it, the icky feeling in the stomach, the mini blackouts, the phases of just staring at nothing before suddenly snapping yourself out of it.  Actively writing this blog as the train journey progresses is keeping me somewhat awake, luckily if I do fall asleep, I can’t miss my stop as its the last one. However the likelyhood of me falling asleep on this train is very low as i’ve never been able to sleep on transport of any kind except for that time when I had the flu and fell asleep on a car journey back from Wales.

Wooo, we are in Coventry, I have only ever seen the train station and how no desire to see any more of it anytime soon.  Urgh the train just got super busy and noisy with suits. Given up trying to watch a movie and now blasting some disturbed (headphones of course, I am not that antisocial), got another two hours of this journey to do and I hope we don’t pick up too many people at Birmingham but I somewhat doubt that is going to be the case.  Kinda wish either this train table was bigger or I have a smaller laptop, preferable the former, as JARVIS keeps sliding about and tries to fall off the table when the train goes round a corner or banks slightly. Wonder if I am annoying people with the sound of my typing, JARVIS doesn’t exactly have a quiet keyboard, I can’t hear it because of the heavy tuneage being blared into my ears.

Well here we are, approaching the 1st of the Birmingham stations (the one with the airport), really hoping someone doesn’t try to sit next to me, liking the space and also I don’t think i’d be comfortable with writing this if someone could read it as I was writing it. Already sort of semi-conscience of people reading it now which is silly as I intend to post this on the interweebles as soon as I get home(but that’s different).

Seems we have avoided any massive pick-up in this carriage at least and I still have my sorta privacy.  Sun setting, wish I had my camera to hand but the damn thing ran out of battery. Been on this train for just under 2 hours probably around an hour and a half, due to arrive into Manchester at 6:40pm and I just realised I meant to check when the connecting train to Cheadle Hulme left Manchester. Ah well, pretty sure its about 10 minutes to the hour so I should make it *fingers crossed* should be home by 7:30 just in time for dinner, which I won’t have to cook, yay for home cooking. Still in Birmingham, just arrived at the 2nd station that this city offers this train service.

You know what, its going to be nice to be home for a bit if just to speak to another human being only interaction I have had since Friday morning have been with someone on a till in Tesco and the delivery guy this afternoon, who dropped off the bean bag filling (of which we seem to have acquired a redongculous amount), he commented on how massive our TV is you can see it from the street as the front door opens onto our living room.

Well once we have left Birmingham and the midlands that no one seems to want, we enter the North, land of pie and chips and gravy.

Spent last half an hour sorting out the files on my laptop, cleaning it up a bit, was getting a bit untidy. Can no longer see what we are going past outside as it is not pitch black out there and it’s only 5:30, crazy! Just over an hour to go till should be in Manchester. Not a lot to say at this point, other than the train has quieten down a bit, the suits are content doing their various newspaper based puzzles and the guy that was sat behind me has gone (at Wolverhampton), he kept kicking my chair.

Is it weird that I am for some reason able to write over a 1000 words on the rambling thoughts I think whilst on a train? Feeling somewhat more awake than I was when I got on the train, the red bull must have kicked in or I have made it over the wall and thus can continue to run on empty till the next crash (which I am hoping doesn’t occur on either my walk home or during dinner). Just had my ticket scribbled on again, not sure why it needed to be checked again, change of inspector I guess. Did she have to draw on my ticket though? (not really annoyed just waffling for the sake of it….now I want waffles).

Who actually reads this stuff? I am intrigued, would actually like to know so riddle me this… tweet me the answer to this riddle (@lemonjellie) as I am interested to know who actually reads my blog and additionally who actually reads the whole thing …

So riddle is as follows …

You throw away the outside and cook the inside. Then you eat the outside and throw away the inside. What did you eat?

We’ve reached Stoke…not long to go now … shall be glad to be off this train, knees are starting to cramp up a bit. 35 mins to go… approaching maccasfield and then it’s Stockport and finally Manchester. Technically I could get off at Stockport but I figured from last time, it’s the same train I would be getting from Manchester except that I have to wait around on the platform at stockport for 10-15 mins or take train to Manchester and change trains immediately without having to wait on cold platform, as long as I don’t miss the connection should be all good.

Well going to stop informing ya’ll about the funtimes that this train journey has provided, hey I just went past my house on the train, silly I have to go 20 mins out of the way so its going to take another 40 mins to get home from here …

That’s all she wrote for now…
